This is a set of a dozen mini pie baking pan called empada in Brazil. Empadinha is a small shortbread pie served at buffet parties. Both the dough and the filling can be used as well in regular sized pie, known as “empadão”, namely a large “empada”. These cute little pies are cupcake-sized pastries filled with a savory filling but there are no rules you can make them sweet too. Also, they may sound the same but they are slightly different from the known empanadas from neighboring Latin American countries. A must try!
