  3. Please note that delivery times can vary due to seasonal and environmental factors affecting postal operations.

SHIPPING DAYS

We utilize USPS Priority Mail or UPS to ship your package from Saugus, Massachusetts.

Please note that chocolate shipping to AK and HI during summer months is unavailable.Our shipping occurs on weekdays, Monday through Friday.

Orders placed between Friday and Sunday will be shipped the following Monday or Tuesday. National holidays are exceptions - no shipping on those days.

*For international orders, be aware that custom fees may apply. 

 

SHIPPING ADDRESS

To ensure a secure delivery, kindly choose an address with someone available to receive your package. We cannot be held responsible for packages left outdoors after delivery, risking theft.

For successful delivery, double-check address details. Your recipient's satisfaction matters greatly.

Please note, we aren't liable for packages returned due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses. In case of re-shipment, a second shipping charge applies, with no quality guarantee for re-shipped items.

 

Address Correction 

If you've realized that the address you provided during checkout is incorrect, we understand your concern. Unfortunately, once an order has been fulfilled, modifying the address becomes challenging.

Here's what you can expect next:

  • Waiting for USPS: In cases where USPS can't deliver to the address you've provided, the package will be returned to us. At this point, we will initiate a claim and follow our Return and Exchange Policy to offer a resolution once the package is received.

  • Recipient at Incorrect Address: If residents at the incorrect address receive and retain your package, regrettably, our options become limited.

Our policy explicitly states that we cannot be held accountable for address errors made during the checkout process.

Returned Merchandise Policy

Returned orders due to reasons such as an undeliverable address, unclaimed package, refusal at delivery, insufficient address (due to customer error), or other unknown causes will incur a restocking fee. This fee amounts to 30% of the purchase value, excluding shipping and handling fees. Rest assured, the remaining amount paid for the item will be refunded.

Unwanted Merchandise Policy

Similarly, a restocking fee will apply to unwanted orders arising from color, size, or product description errors made by the buyer.

Our Processing Time: Generally ranges from 3 to 10 business days, or 1 to 2 weeks. This timeframe is product-specific.

Delivery Time: Commences when the carrier collects your package, concluding upon its arrival at your doorstep. The carrier determines this timeframe.

  • Please note that pre-orders and back-ordered items require longer delivery times, usually within 15 to 20 business days, equivalent to 3 to 4 weeks for US shipments.

It's essential to recognize that these are approximate estimates, and unexpected events such as postal strikes or severe weather might cause delays.

Lost-in-transit requests must be sent to our Support within 30 days of shipping or before the courier archives tracking data.

  • If available, provide video evidence of the date and time of delivery that contradicts the carrier's records.
  • If you've captured video of the package being stolen, that's useful, but even a notice of delivery discrepancy is valuable.

If a major carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx) was involved, file a claim with them. A police report might bolster your insurance claim. Video doorbells could deter or capture theft.

CHOCOLATE SHIPPING 

DISCLAIMER: While we make every effort to ensure your chocolate orders arrive intact, we cannot guarantee this. Placing orders for chocolate products between October and April, or when temperatures exceed 70 degrees in your region, involves risk on your part. Though we strive for excellence, we cannot assure perfection in the condition of all our products upon arrival.

We DO NOT PROVIDE ice packs with chocolate shipments. All chocolate product packages are dispatched without ice packs.

Weather Considerations: We reserve the right to postpone shipping during extreme weather or heatwave conditions (above >75°F). Your order will be shipped at the earliest possibility, considering weather conditions. In instances of excessively high temperatures (well above 90 degrees), we may get in touch with you to delay the shipment until conditions improve.

Important Note: Forminhas Boston is not accountable for melting or damage due to heat exposure during shipping.

  • Shipping Efficiency: To ensure optimal freshness, during Fall and Winter (October-April), we ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays each week. This prevents packages from lingering in USPS warehouses over weekends. USPS Priority Mail typically takes 2–3 business days. Orders placed Thursday through Sunday will be shipped on the subsequent Monday. No shipping on national holidays.
  • Shipping Address Recommendations: For the best outcome, select an address where someone can receive the chocolate package. We are not responsible for packages left outdoors after delivery, potentially leading to chocolate melting.
  • Business Address Tip: When possible, opt for shipping to a business address instead of a residential one. This aids in maintaining a temperature-controlled environment for your package.
  • Recommended: For proper shipping, please ensure accurate address details. We share your enthusiasm for the recipient to enjoy their chocolates. Packages returned due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses are not our responsibility. Reshipping incurs a second charge, and we can't guarantee the quality of the reshipped product.
