
Renda Mix is a powdered blend designed for creating flexible, decorative sugar lace used in cake design and fine pastry. It offers a delicate and elegant finish, ideal for enhancing cakes, cookies, brigadeiros, and other confections.
Naturally white, the lace can be colored before or after application using food coloring. Its high yield and easy preparation make it a convenient and creative tool for bakers and cake artists.
Yield
100 g of Renda Mix produces approximately 300 g of flexible lace, enough for 8 silicone mats measuring 10 × 30 cm.
Preparation Instructions

Mix 3 tablespoons (approx. 26 g) of Renda Mix with 50 ml of room temperature water until fully homogenized.

Using a spatula, spread the mixture over a silicone lace mat, filling all areas completely. Remove excess.

Preheat oven to 100°C and bake with the mat placed on a tray for 10–12 minutes.

Let cool slightly, then carefully peel off the lace.
Note: Baking time may vary depending on your oven.
Tips for Use

You can color the lace by adding liquid food coloring during the mixing stage or brushing powder pigment onto the dried lace.

For added flavor, include a few drops of edible flavoring during preparation.

Do not apply lace to wet surfaces such as whipped cream or ganache, as moisture can cause it to disintegrate.

To apply onto fondant, use a very thin layer of edible glue made with CMC and water. Gently press and secure the lace into place.
